HK's Origins

For over 20 years Hell’s Kitchen has been a Granby Street favorite. One of the original pioneers during the revitalization of Downtown Norfolk. Owner Kevin Blair created this concept 3 years before the TV show first aired in May 2005. The initial call to friend and future partner Brian Radford didn’t go well with Brian saying, “that name will never work in the Bible Belt”. Four months later Hell’s Kitchen opened on February 14th 2002. While we’re not for everyone with our edgy slideshow, restroom graffiti, movie artwork, and staff of misfit toys, we have made a lot of friends along the way. We look forward to serving you and hope to see you again.
